DJI FlyCart 30 vs FlyCart 100: Delivery Drone Buyer's Guide for Construction, Mining and Remote Logistics
Moving tools, samples and supplies across a site, a river or a mountainside used to mean a helicopter or a long drive. DJI's FlyCart series makes drone logistics a purchase rather than a research project. Here is how the two models compare and what to budget.

FlyCart 30 — the proven workhorse
The DJI FlyCart 30 has been in the field since 2024 with mountain rescue teams, construction sites and remote research stations. Its 30 kg payload covers tool bags, medical supplies, survey equipment and building materials; the winch mode allows deliveries without landing, and the parachute plus dual radar make it insurable. Dual-operator control over O3 and 4G suits relay operations across valleys or over water.
FlyCart 100 — when 30 kg is not enough
The DJI FlyCart 100 roughly triples the payload into the 100 kg class for cement bags, generators, cable drums and pallet-scale supply runs. It targets mining, energy, forestry and disaster response where a helicopter is the alternative. Size and weight raise logistics questions — vehicle transport, landing zones, ground crew — that we work through in the quote.
Typical use cases
- Construction: tools and fixings to upper floors or across site without cranes; concrete samples to the lab.
- Mining and energy: parts to remote pads; sample runs; cable pulling with the winch.
- Emergency response: medical supplies and communications gear to isolated communities or flood zones.
- Agriculture and forestry: seedlings, fencing and feed across terrain — often alongside an AGRAS fleet.
- Research: instruments to glaciers, islands and towers.
Regulatory reality check
Both aircraft are over 55 lb / 25 kg, which places them outside routine rules in both countries. In the US you need a Section 44807 exemption and, for anything beyond line of sight, a waiver until the FAA finalises Part 108. In Canada the 2025 medium-drone framework helps for lower-risk operations; complex BVLOS still requires an SFOC. We recommend engaging a regulatory consultant at the same time as ordering; we can suggest partners. Also see our drone-law guide.
What a FlyCart quote includes
Aircraft with RC Plus, cargo case and/or winch, 4–6 battery pairs, a DJI charging station, D-RTK 3 base, spare propellers and landing gear, transport solution, pilot and ground-crew training, and DJI Care Enterprise. Lead times are confirmed in writing; FlyCart 100 systems may be built to order.
Alternatives
For payloads up to 6 kg — sensors, small parts, AEDs — the DJI Matrice 400 is a more flexible platform that also flies inspection payloads. For 2.7 kg and under, the DJI Matrice 350 RTK with a payload release is a lower-cost option. Tell us the heaviest item you need to move and we will recommend the right aircraft.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far can a FlyCart 30 fly with a full load?
DJI rates the FlyCart 30 at roughly 16 km with a 30 kg payload in dual-battery mode, and about 28 km with 40 kg in single-battery mode, in still air. Plan real missions at 60–70% of the rated figure to keep reserves.
Can I operate a FlyCart legally in the US?
Both models exceed 55 lb, so US operation requires a Section 44807 exemption (and a Part 107 waiver or the forthcoming Part 108 for BVLOS). Several operators hold such exemptions; the process takes months, so start it in parallel with the purchase.
And in Canada?
The FlyCart 30 (~95 kg MTOW) and FlyCart 100 fall in Transport Canada's medium-drone class. Under the November 2025 rules a Level 1 Complex pilot certificate and a manufacturer declaration can replace some SFOC requirements; higher-risk BVLOS still needs an SFOC.
Why no listed price?
A FlyCart system includes the aircraft, cargo case and/or winch, multiple battery sets, a charging station, RTK and often a DJI Dock-style operations plan and training. We quote the configured system with delivery lead time.
